Cabin in the Woods
Last weekend we spent a nice long weekend at my friend's cabin in Muse, OK. Last time I was there was in 2009 for a Girls Weekend. This time it was to get away from it all with the family.
There were scorpions and lizards and s'mores and chiggers and ticks. Thankfully this time we did not see any water moccasins.

That's the first time I've seen a black widow spider "in the wild" in person (via your camera.) Close enuf for me! Enjoyed the photo essay of your weekend away, Nolita -- even the elusive marshmallow lizard. :)
ReplyDeleteKim, that was a scary deal too. We see a few in the backyard occasionally but we haven't seen many males like this guy. We gave him a wide berth. We did see a few more scorpions this time. Do you have them at Eufaula?
